The fight will be televised on HBO.
“Alexander The Great” was born on February 10, 1987, in St. Louis, Missouri and currently carries a record of 19-0 with 12 knockouts.
As an amateur, Alexander won 300 out of 310 bouts. When he was 17, he turned pro and won his first world title in his 19th bout with a victory over former champ Junior Witter.
In facing Urango, Alexander will be going head-to-head with a power-punching brawler. Urango has impressive wins over Herman Ngoudjo and Randall Bailey. His two blemishes were against top names in Ricky Hatton and Andre Berto. Come Saturday night, Alexander and Urango will not only look to become a unified champion, but arguably the second best jr. welterweight in the world behind Timothy Bradley.
